Title 1
TITLE I AT SUNSET PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
HOW IS TITLE I MONEY SPENT?
Title I funds provide additional support beyond our regular school budget to help every Yearling succeed. Funds are used to:
- Provide additional instructional and classroom support.
- Purchase reading and math materials, intervention resources, books, and instructional programs.
- Support small-group instruction and targeted interventions.
- Provide teachers with training, resources, and time to analyze student data and plan instruction.
- Support positive behavior, attendance, and student engagement.
- Provide family engagement opportunities and resources.
WHAT ELSE DOES IT MEAN?
Being a Title I school means we are committed to providing additional academic support and opportunities for ALL students. We regularly monitor student progress, identify students who need additional support, and adjust instruction and interventions based on student needs. Title I also strengthens the partnership between school, families, and students through our School-Parent Compact and Family Engagement Plan.
HOW CAN PARENTS BE INVOLVED?
Families are important partners in student success! Parents can:
- Attend conferences, parent meetings, school events, and family engagement activities.
- Participate in our Parent Advisory Panel and provide feedback.
- Provide input on our School-Parent Compact and Family Engagement Plan.
- Stay connected with teachers and monitor their child's academic progress.
- Support regular attendance, reading, and learning at home.
- Share ideas about how we can better support our students and families.
PARENTS' RIGHT TO KNOW
